MUSKEGON COUNTY OVERDOSE EDUCATION

Opioid overdose is a national epidemic, and Muskegon County has not been spared, with deaths from accidental drug overdose surpassing automobile accidents. However, every overdose fatality is highly preventable. Naloxone (Narcan®) is a prescription medication that can safely and effectively reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

As of June 1st, 2017, over 5,000 individuals in West Michigan received overdose education and naloxone, leading to more than 1,200 saved lives!

The Red Project offers Naloxone (Narcan) for FREE to individuals, family members, friends, and community members. Overdose education and naloxone training are provided on-site by a knowledgeable Red Project staff or volunteer.
