Kent County Overdose Task Force

Opioid overdose is a national epidemic and Kent County has not been spared, with deaths from accidental drug overdose surpassing automobile accidents. However, in Kent County our community has banded together to address this public health issue through the Kent County Overdose Task Force. Our goal is to prevent overdoses from happening, keep people alive when they have overdosed, and provide supportive services for people at risk for overdose. Only together as a community can we address this public health issue.

Task Force Member Quarterly Report Form

The Kent County Overdose Task Force meets on a monthly basis, although member agencies address this issue everyday. For more information on how you can get involved, contact Steve Alsum, Executive Director, The Grand Rapids Red Project, at steve@redproject.org.
