Our Partners in Community Health support Red Project and our work to provide health resources to those who need it most and prevent the spread of disease. We are all benefitting from a healthier community. Most importantly, we are saving lives together.
There are thousands of people alive today because of the support from our partners in community health. One staff member, and former client, says it best, “I have dealt with a lot of death and much pain. But now, my past means something. I can change lives with it. I never thought that would be possible”.
Red Project’s impact on the health of our community is evident. HIV cases related to injection drug use have decreased from 25% to 8% in Kent County. In 2016, Red Project assisted over 40 people living with HIV to access treatment. Successful treatment today eliminates the possibility of HIV transmission to an intimate partner. The Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution Program save lives every week, with over 140 naloxone use reported in 2016. These are all life-changing improvements to personal and community health.
Our partners also benefit in more ways than one. We offer workshops and training for staff, volunteer activities, and multi-media brand recognition. We enjoy spreading love to our partners, and we encourage all of our supporters to support them in return enthusiastically!
