Syringe Access

Clean Works is GR Red Project’s comprehensive harm reduction program. The syringe access/needle exchange program operates based on the belief that the provision of clean, personal substance use equipment is a basic human right and promoter of public health. As of right now, less than 10% of all HIV infections in Kent county are associated with injection drug use, down from approximately 25%. The supply of these tools to communities results in vast reductions in the spread of HIV, infections, and physical injuries associated with substance use.
