AIDS Walk Grand Rapids is led by a local committee of dedicated individuals concerned about all areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and care. This year’s walk will benefit the work of 5 charities serving those infected, affected and interested in ending HIV/AIDS.
A.I.D.S. (Advocacy, Information & Diverse Services, Inc.) - Provides community outreach in the areas of HIV/AIDS awareness, education and prevention in Urban Grand Rapids.
Ama Tu Vida – Doing Outreach initiatives in the Hispanic/Latino community, focusing on persons living with HIV/AIDS.
Saint Mary’s Health Care Special Immunology Services – Providing medical, pharmaceutical, dental and vision care for person’s living with HIV throughout ten counties of western Michigan, who would otherwise be unable to access these services.
Westminster Ryan White Food Pantry – Buys items such as personal care products that otherwise would not be available to their HIV/AIDS clients. Provides for the unique dietary requirements for those in need who are suffering with HIV/AIDS.
Grand Rapids Red Project – Improving Health, Preventing HIV and Reducing Risk.
