Our partners in community health support Red Project and our work to provide health resources to those who need it most and to prevent the spread of disease. We are all benefitting from a healthier community. Most importantly, we’re saving more lives together.
There are thousands of people alive today because of the support from our partners in community health. One staff member, and former client, says it best- “I’ve dealt with a lot of death and a lot of pain. But now my past means something. I can change lives with it. I never thought that would be possible.”
Red Project’s impact on the health of our community is clear. HIV cases related to injection drug use have decreased from 25% to 8%. In 2016, we assisted over 40 people living with HIV to access treatment. Successful treatment today eliminates the possibility of HIV transmission to an intimate partner. Our overdose prevention program is saving lives every week, with over 140 rescues in 2016. These are all life-changing improvements to personal and community health.
Our partners also benefit in more ways that one. We offer workshops and training for staff, volunteer activities, and multi-media brand recognition. We enjoy spreading love to our partners, and we encourage all of our supporters to enthusiastically support them in return!
