Every year on December 1st, communities around the globe set aside this day as one of REMEMBRANCE for  those who we have lost to AIDS and one of AWARENESS that we can make a difference.

This year, please join us as we participate in a World AIDS Day event at 7 pm at East Congregational United Church of Christ in Grand Rapids.

Yesterday in the GR Press I was surprised to read “AIDS leading cause of death for women 15 to 44.” Actually, I was not surprised with this fact…I was surprised it made the GR paper. Yes, AIDS kills women in droves around the world. Here in the U.S. AIDS is the leading cause of death for African Americans ages 15-44. Geesh. This is not OK. That is why we do what we do.
